In January 2018 we warmly welcomed Anthony Challice into our IT Champion technical team line-up, cementing our cloud and infrastructure projects team as one of the strongest and most well equipped in the South West. Between them they have a wealth of knowledge and experience that we’re thrilled to be able to offer out to our new and existing clients for any progressive plans and developments they might be considering in 2018.
Dave Wiscombe founded IT Champion alongside Matt Phillips in 2009 and is the company’s Technical Director, heading up the projects and support teams.
The longest standing member of our projects team is Glenn Gould, who has been with IT Champion almost right from the beginning. Following an IT BTEC at College he joined the company in 2011 as a Helpdesk and Support Technician. After four years of mentoring by the senior engineering team at IT Champion, he learned a huge amount on the job that is impossible to learn academically. In 2015, he was offered the chance to attend an official Microsoft Windows Server training course. It was at this point that he realised just how much he had benefited by being coached by the IT Champion systems engineers. Fast forward two years and he manages The IT Champion projects team and works with many of our clients to deploy and support the latest technologies for business.
Tom Jacobs started working in IT in 2009 shortly after finishing 6th form and opting to pursue a career in IT rather than go to University. Having worked for a large variety of organisations ranging from small businesses to some of the biggest employers in the region, he has a vast wealth of experience in designing, implementing and supporting IT solutions for organisations of any size. He joined IT Champion as a Senior Systems Engineer in 2016 and enters 2018 as one of our Cloud & Infrastructure Directors.
Our newest recruit, Anthony Challice joined IT Champion as a Cloud & Infrastructure Director in January 2018. He fell into his first IT role providing end user support for an outsourced IT provider who looked after Devon and Cornwall Police. From there his experience and drive to learn more about Microsoft Technologies and Networking grew, and he had employment stints at a few large Public-Sector organisations, eventually moving into consultancy which he has been doing for nearly 6 years. Anthony joined IT Champion to help drive the projects and technical delivery side of the business using his experience gained in previous roles providing IT consultancy and project management.
If you’d like to find out more about the rest of our growing team you can meet them here or get in touch to discuss how we can help your business in 2018.
